Grade Petrol 65cc 20" Bar with 2 Chains and 16" Bar with 2 Chains, Storage Bag, Lightweight & Gear for Tree Cutting

I was not expecting too much from a £100 chainsaw, but these days I do not need professional kit. It is not as powerful as I would have expected at 62cc but it is adequate and cuts well enough. I have only used the 16" bar so far. It floods very easily if you don't get the choke setting right and it is a shame that it doesn't have a lock-on half throttle position for warm starting as the recoil starting system doesn't let you hold the throttle and pull the cord. Of the "complete safety kit" Only the face mask could actually be called useful, and that is flimsy. Don't rely on any of it, buy proper chainsaw kit and decent ear defenders. All in all great value though.After using this saw for about 12 hours total, the starting issue has gone away as it has 'run in.' The bumper claw at the front has folded flat against the motor face though and the starter cord spring is defective, ie it doesn't re-wind the cord so I cannot start the saw. I was really enjoying using it up to that point and had planned to make a new claw out of decent steel. So it goes. I'll see what Burrowmount say.So Burrowmount were really very helpful. Gave me the option to return for repair or they would supply the parts necessary (which arrived with 2 days). The saw is now up and running again! Using about a tank of chain oil to a tank of fuel, which is about right. Half choke position will start a 'warm' engine. The first chain is showing no sign of losing its edge cutting clean, recently felled hardwood timber (any soil or grit will blunt it straight away).

When I purchased this chainsaw, I was a bit sceptical because of the price, but I kid you not it's a right tool to have for lobbing down trees or chopping logs, beats using an axe anyday. Not only do you get the chainsaw, but you get all the safety bits too, face guard, gloves, earmuffs, glasses all the mixing bottles, funnel and a small bottle of engine oil to mix with the petrol. It really does do a good job! Having the 65cc engine. Oh, n you get 2 blades & 4 chains. It really is well worth the money. The only downfall is if there has to be one, is the vibration, & the carrying bag just fits, n you need to buy a good thick oil for the blade. 5 stars from me

I have been looking out for a saw for a while, and couldn't justify forking out the prices quoted for the big brand name saws, so when I came across this, and read some of the reviews, I took a chance.....and am I glad that I did!!The saw arrived and assembly was easy, and the more I went through the packaging, the more amazed I was with all the extras that came with it, spare chains, fuel mixer bottles, gloves, mask, glasses, incredible value. But the extra's are only one small element, how does it actually perform. I had two trees that fell during the recent storm, so I tackled them straight away, and it glided through the branches, it was a pleasure to use.After a couple of days of use, I encountered an issue where the brake got jammed and I couldn't unjam it. A message over to the seller, a reply an hour later and the problem was resolved, superb customer service.I know the "serious" wood cutters wouldn't dream of using a saw that wasn't one of the big brands, but for me, someone who cuts wood when a tree falls, I couldn't be happier. 10/10

On the negative side. I set up the chainsaw on the 16inch blade. The chain guides (the teeth that slide in the groove of the bar) were a little thick for about 5 links Long so I had to file them thinner so the chain would slide along the bar. It was still a bit stiff and sticking so I oiled the chain and bar groove. After about a days intermittent use, the pin that hold the brake handle in place fell out making the saw unsafe to use.On the Positive side. Its a powerful tool when it works. It comes with lots of spares. The after sales people sent me the replacement brake very quickly + more spare chains. (Though I see the replacement brake handle pin will probably develop the same problem because the pin is secured rubber o rings. These will disintegrate so close to the heat of the exhaust. - I substituted the brake assembly from another 20 inch chain saw (Protool) and the saw worked perfectly. Great tool when you get it working - Safe start is good. But the brake assembly needs to be re-designed.Not for the inexperienced or novice wood cutter despite the pricing. - Do not operate without all the protective safety equipment Helmet, mask gloves etc.

In 2014 i bought exactly the same saw, and worked it quite hard for the last seven years, feeding up to three log burners. I've worn out several chains and when the guide eventually wore out, my local supplier wanted thirty quid plus VAT for a guide bar. Instead, i thought i would invest in another saw, get two guide bars, four chains and some safety net, because surely the £75.00, 2014 saw would die soon.The new saw arrived this morning and was assembled in five minutes. Some reviewers say they are hard to assemble... I don't know why... it's just a normal chainsaw.I had some hassle with the pull start cord, it had become tangled, but ten minutes and the supplied Allen key and it was sorted.The saw started on the third pull and went straight to work on a 20 inch seasoned log, and went through it like a bad curry.By the way, the 16" guide and chain is now on the seven year old saw, that has not been started for five months, and it too started on the second pull.... now I have two saws.A reliable and powerful saw, and seemingly, unbreakable.
